Activity Linking
What is Linking?
“Linking” occurs when you indicate that another user has participated in an activity with you. The user will then be listed as your “RunPartner” for that activity.
Adding a “Link”
You can link others to your activities by adding names to the “RunPartners” box in the activity editor. ONLY people who you are currently friends with (see Privacy Settings) can be added to an activity. Teams can also be linked in this way.
Prefilling with a Link
The power of linking an activity is that when your friend adds an activity for that day they will have the option to prefill the editor with the information that you have already entered . There is no need to call someone and ask how long a run was or go find their log entry. We’ll do it automatically!
Note: Before filling an activity you can Preview the information that will be filled in. You can also Ignore it and it will be hidden or you can Remove it.
Clicking Prefill will update all applicable fields in the activity editor. Note that a small excerpt of the comment rather than the entire comment is shown, so that you can jog your memory of the activity.
Removing a “Link”
If a link was made in error, or if you did not want to be linked to, you may easily remove the link. Simply visit the calendar page with the linked activity, hover over your name and click the
button. Links can be remove by both the people that made them and by the person who was linked. Linked teams can only be removed by the team officers.
“Linking“ Notifications
By default users will not be notified when someone Links them to an activity. By enabling linking notifications in the settings menu you can receive an email every time a user with the activity a user linked you to.
To edit your settings, visit Settings which can be found under the
icon in the menu.
